About Me
I have had the privilege of working with wood for 30 years and enjoy taking raw timber and crafting it into quality finished furniture.
I started out making props and sets for the theme park and museum industry, then developed my skills further by training at the International Boatbuilding college in Lowestoft.
I fitted out high quality narrowboats before moving to Devon to work as a wooden boatbuilder, making new mahogany-on-oak clinker launches as well as repairs and renovations on historic craft.
This background has help me develop my skills and an aesthetic eye for form and function.
Products
Chairs
Individually made chairs of different styles, predominantly the Windsor bow back type in the English and American styles. Made in Oak and Ash and where possible from locally-sourced timber. With a focus on quality craftsmanship these chairs are the perfect choice for those with an eye for detail and wish to have a unique beautiful piece of heirloom furniture.
Benches
A range of solid timber benches, ideal for halls and kitchens. Can be made with backrests and arms if desired.
Tables
Dining, coffee or side tables made from temperate hardwoods in various styles
Garden Furniture
My own design Adirondack chair in Sweet Chestnut or Oak with stainless steel fastenings to last in our weather. Beautiful and extremely comfortable, giving many years of service without the usual maintenance that garden furniture requires.
